Looks like this happens so often that they had to make a picture for it.

How Ironic

Funny story...
I just bought a food processor (Yes I know, I must've been living under a rock for the past 18 years to have just bought something so great) and there were repeated warnings about the blades all over the box, the flap of the box, the manual on how to set it up and the manual on how to use it. I ignored all of them and I said to myself "C'mon it's just a food processor. What, do they think I'm stupid? I'm not gunna cut myself on the blades."

At the same time I was remembering how my mother always nags over and over again to be careful when I'm cleaning a blender, and a lot of other times when I'm cleaning knives. At the same time I was rolling my eyes at the thought of her repeating these things to me. Because what, does she think I'm stupid? I'm not gunna cut myself.

So after I'm done using it, I go on to washing the dishes along with the parts of the food processor that were exposed to the food, which included the blades. The ironic part is coming up.

I wash the knives and blades... with no trouble. I mean what, do you think I'm stupid? I'm not gunna cut myself.

Okay here's the ironic part: I cut myself -- my thumb -- on a round plastic container.

Yea. Round and plastic.

How did it happen? Well, it was one of those cheap, cylinder, quart-sized plastic containers. There's a little plastic sticking out at the center of the bottom of the container. Oil is always a pain to get out of plastic, so I was washing it pretty forcefully :(

My thumb was bleeding but at least I got a kick out of the irony :)

Ba da ba ba ba...

When you think of "McDonald's," you probably think of burgers, french fries, or a clown. Many people even refuse to eat from McDonald's because of how unhealthy the food is. I mean there are still a ton of customers enjoying McDonald's foods, but I highly doubt those customers would want to eat this:

(I took this picture in front of a neighboring apartment of my grandparents)

Yes, that's right. Those are McDonald's slippers.

Maybe this has to do with the bad economy, so McDonald's had to think of something innovative, and fast.
or
Maybe my grandparents' neighbor is Ronald McDonald.

What do you think?

Dr. Seuss

I just wanted to share this quote by Dr. Seuss, which would be good for Basic Reporting class:

"So the writer who breeds more words than he needs, is making a chore for the reader who reads."

Mosquitos

I'm sure we all hate mosquitoes.
Well, There are tons of closeup pictures of mosquitoes biting people.
I'm wondering... Who in their right mind would sit there and let a mosquito bite them?
I'd understand if a kid lets a spider bite him because he thinks he'll turn into Spider Man.
But Mosquito Man? No.

Reminds me of vampires.
Imagine the guy in Twilight was a Mosquito Man.

Anyway, here are some pictures of mosquito bites:

What a sloppy fella.

On the finger! I'm pretty sure I'm right when I say: This person really made an effort in getting the mosquito to bite him/her on the finger.

did you ever notice...

Welcome to my new blog. This will be a blog about things we see everyday but take for granted; things that don't seem weird or funny until we think about it.
I will update this weekly, which should be enough time to realize something new about something old.

edit (3/16/09):
I changed my mind. This blog will be about what I found was funny. Don't worry; it won't be like those funny picture or joke sites.
